We are dedicated to providing an entertaining, safe and supportive environment for our students. We truly want our students to have as much fun as possible while developing their game. It is our core belief that life is lived better with healthy doses of play. Recess doesn't have to end once you're an adult! Pickleball is our happy place, and we want our students to feel right at home there, too. Let's PLAY!
Positive Dinking is the teaching duo of best "dinking buddies" Mo Nard and Reine Steel. We always work as a team – not only to offer our students different perspectives and strengths, but because it's more fun! We both have a passion for playing and teaching pickleball, and love watching our students grow. Together we've helped hundreds of students improve their game.
Maureen "Mo" Nard is a PPR Certified Pro, the highest level of certification available from the official education and certification partner of USAPA. She is a former racquetball pro who taught locally and as far away as Japan. As a racquetball player she earned two national titles. Pickleball is her new passion. She competes regularly in tournaments at the 4.0/4.5 level, including the 2018 USAPA National Championships. You might recognize Mo from her stand-up comedy and improv days – don't be surprised if you find yourself laughing while learning!
A true student of the game, Reine Steel quickly developed from novice to advanced player. She has competed in tournaments throughout the state, earning gold medals in 4.0 doubles and singles. One of the founding board members of Sunrise Pickleball Club, she has been actively involved in the community for the past 4 years – volunteering for USAPA, running tournaments and events, and advising for new facilities. Reine is also the creator of the PlayTime Scheduler website used by over 13,000 players around the world.
